SCREWED-UP SAINTS (Part 1)

sus.pngYes, I realize I still owe you all a review of Crazy Love, and I promise it’s coming early this week.  …Maybe I shouldn’t have promised that…

At any rate, I just wanted to let you know that The Fusion Community has just started into a new sermon series called Screwed-Up Saints: An Exposition of 1 Corinthians. There are 80 sermons planned, to be preached over the course of about 2 years.

I have never been more excited for a sermon series — mainly because I’m such a screwed-up saint myself, and I’m looking forward to seeing how God teaches me and renovates me through this study.

If you are so inclined, you can subscribe to the Fusion Audio Podcast.  The first sermon, “Screwed-Up Saints” (1 Cor. 1:1-3), is already up. I can also make the application questions we use in our sermon-based small groups available to anyone who would like them, and I’ll post the titles of the messages here each week in case anyone would like to ask a question or spur a discussion on a message.

  1. PB-

I’m excited about your sermon series, even if I’m too old and gray to attend Fusion. But here’s the deal:

I can isolate bacterial strains, define the cellular functions of newly discovered proteins, but … could someone PLEASE explain to me what is a podcast, so I can listen?

Do I need special equipment (Like an iPod?) or will my $30 mp3 player work? Do I have to use iTunes or can it be put into a format that will work with Windows Media Player?

  2. OK, Technophile that I am, I managed to download the alleged ‘podcast’, which was really just an MP3 file, and it seems to play in windows media player just fine.

  3. Is the only podcast available the one from the last sermon preached? Is there a directory of podcasts anywhere so I can download podcasts from the whole series?
