The Heart Disposition of a Christ-Follower

1 Peter 2:8-9 is a beautiful portrait of the heart disposition of a Christ-follower:
“Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing.“
I’m memorizing it this morning in the prayerful hope that it will more clearly and obviously characterize my heart in this next decade.
