Piper's Q&A With Inmates at Angola Prison

This was a brilliant idea by the Desiring God folks. What a cool opportunity. Great Q&A as well, by the way.

I especially appreciated the question (from an inmate): “What do you say to someone who will only trust in Jesus if Jesus can guarantee his release from prison?”  Piper’s answer was extraordinarily wise and bold.

While at the prison, David Mathis (Piper’s assistant) tweeted this:

“Piper to inmates: Your being in prison is the very way Jesus is loving you—the curse on many outside is freedom & wealth.”
